Colonel Arthur Dugdale1

     Colonel Arthur Dugdale was born on 2 February 1869 at Burnley, Lancashire, England.2 He was the son of James Dugdale and Alice Brooks.2 He married, firstly, Jessie Stanley Arnold, daughter of Colonel Stanley Arnold, on 24 July 1895.2 He and Jessie Stanley Arnold were divorced on 5 June 1899.2 He married, secondly, Ethel Innes Sherston, daughter of John Sherston and Alice Bamfield, in 1904.1,2 He died on 27 April 1941 at age 72 at Sezincote House, Gloucestershire, England.2
     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1913.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Queen's Own Oxfordshire Hussars.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.2
